History Fair Enjoyed By All

Published by bludden at 12:49 pm under Uncategorized

Last Wednesday’s trip to the Court retirement center was a big success!  We finished our World War II projects just in time to take them and display for the residents.  Many were thrilled to see all of the hard work that the kids had put into them as well as the photographs of themselves being interviewed.  Students wrote letters when we returned about their experience, and I was very moved by many of the things they wrote and what they learned.

We left our projects at the Court for the residents’ families to enjoy over the weekend, but they will be on display in our library after the Book Fair ends next week.   I encourage you to drop by and see them.  I know you will be as proud of the kids as I am.

We will have one more trip to the Court on May 20 to share some of the songs we have learned this year in social studies and to visit.

    Dear Mrs.Ludden,

I loved every single trip we’ve went to but going to the Nursing Home was the best field trip ever to me except for the Express Game no uffense! There was this 1 lady that I talked to the last time we went there she was so sweet and pretty for her age, just kidding! I like going to the Nursing Home a lot.

    Sincereley, Jordan!:)
